Let’s go ahead and give you the bad news on the Riverdale episode 8 return date now: It’s not going to be airing on The CW next week. It’s also not going to be coming up the week after that. As a matter of fact, Riverdale episode 8 isn’t going to be airing until we roll around to Thursday, March 30. It’s a long hiatus, but it’s one that makes sense for one very important reason: The desire for the network to continue pairing Riverdale with Supernatural. Giving this hitaus can help some casual viewers to also catch up on — which is good, since this is a pretty-darn-great show that is worthy of getting some extra viewers on board.
Not only that, but we know that Riverdale season 2 has been green-lit! We like to think of the show’s renewal at the moment as one reason to assure the viewers that there is no reason to be afraid about it getting canceled in the near future. So fans can sink their teeth into this show, the characters and the mystery without fear of cancellation.
Now, let’s also give you a little bit more when it comes to what you can expect to see coming up next.
Riverdale episode 8 synopsis – “As Fred (Luke Perry) and his crew are about to start construction he loses his crew, which could put his livelihood in jeopardy. Wanting to help his dad, Archie (KJ Apa) and his friends pitch in to help but after one of them is attacked, the gang comes up with a plan that lands them in Southside Serpent territory. With Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) secret revealed, he is worried about how his friends will react. Meanwhile, Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) suggest throwing Polly (guest star Tiera Skovbye) a baby shower to make her feel better, but Polly is hesitant knowing how everyone feels.”
Basically, you can go ahead and expect this to be a fun, emotional, and hopefully informative episode given that Judhead’s secret is now in the open, and that is something that he will have to contend with.
Promo – This just reinforces a good bit of what we’ve been saying as of late. For one reason or another, the adults are even more scandalous on this show than the kids!
