Even though it feels like more of the Quantico team is unified and in one place than they used to be, that does not mean that there is suddenly this influx of peace where they are all spared from harm. Instead, it basically means that more of their conflicts seem to be external, which is smart in that it gives some clearer battle lines and some clearer enemies.
Moving into next week’s new episode “ODYOKE,” you’re going to see a further example of that unity and how important it could be to both the team and the cause. Everyone is going to be together in order to stop a threat who come be framing one of Alex Parrish’s friends. As you are going to see, there is also a big story coming up within this episode that makes it all the clearer at the same time that the show is really trying to be current and play to things that are happening in the world, perhaps more now than they ever have before.
Synopsis – “When one of Alex’s friends is framed for a domestic terror attack, they turn to her for help. With an upcoming vote in the House for a Muslim registry bill, the task force realizes this attack isn’t a coincidence. The Collaborators are actively stirring fear to pass the registry, and our team heads to the Hill to turn the votes. Meanwhile, Alex and Owen track down an assassin.”
The Muslim registry bill may be a pretty extreme version of some of the things that have happened here in real-life America, but it’s pretty clear what the reference here is. Given that this is meant to be a more unifying version of Quantico than ever before, we have to hope that this is going to mark an opportunity for the show to spread a positive message more so than one defined by hate.
Promo – This is a reflection of everything that we’ve said you can expect to date. Let’s just hope that as we get closer to the end of the season, we’ll start to get some answers as to how many members of this team will be able to stick together.
